Delta GEMS has not only shaped but has boosted my self-confidence in me being able to communicate better with others. I used to think my opinion didn’t matter, that I wasn’t needed, and how no one listened to me because I was so soft-spoken. My attitude, time management, and service to give back to the community have improved since I've been in the program. Those few out of many benefits I’ve gotten from participating in the Delta GEMS program has dramatically changed the growth of my character and how I look at situations differently in life. The lessons that I have learned over the past three years from the Delta GEMS committee members will stay with me for the next four years of my higher education and the rest of my life.…

Throughout the novel of “The Damage Done” Warren Fellow’s experiences and hardships he finds himself faced with cause on-going anguish both mentally and physically. These aspects of his unjust life in prison and the events preceding convince Warren into believing that his punishment was not justified, or even remotely equal to his crimes that led to his arrest.
