Although there are referees in the competitions, it can also be not equal. Cimorene gains from this event, if a person didn’t want to live under others just defeat them.
Wrede writes the story in the third person of view, readers can clearly understand the thoughts inside Cimorene and how do Kazul and Cimorene react to the difficulty. “Then maybe I can fool him instead, “Cimorene finished. “And once we know what he’s after, we can decide what to do about it.” (Wrede 61). They try to prevent the important book been stolen, and Cimorene’s mind is growing; at the end of the story, Cimorene adapts to the outside society and Kazul wins the competition and becomes the new king.
In this interesting and intense fantasy novel, readers can comprehend the humanity and how is Cimorene adapting to the society. Cimorene and Kazul benefits each other from living together, and makes a strong relationship. They spent a difficult time together, “Dealing with dragons” should be read by everyone. A lot of people think fairy tale stories are not true and useless, reading those books is just a pastime method. However, arguments in the story also can apply into the reality.
