Deadpool was written in Three-act structure. In addition, this is a superhero movie based on The Hero's journey model. But different from other superhero movie, in order to guide the audience’s focus on both past and current circumstances, the movie was written in parallel narrative structure which is flashback.
In Act 1, as a typical way, the opening scene starts with the entrance of the protagonist, Deadpool, with the red spandex suit sitting in a cab. With this opening scene, the movie is successful in grabbing the audience’s attention through carving an image of an unordinary person doing ordinary things - sitting on a cab and talking with a taxi driver. After that, Deadpool lets the audience know about his mission through the sentence: "Anyway, I got places to be, a face to fix and a bad guy to kill." This sentence is assigned to lead the audience into the plot. Next scene is the fighting scene between Deadpool and his enemy, Francis. To explain his animosity, the following scene is a flashback to his old days, when he lived in an ordinary world. This part included the setup, the point of attack and the plot point one according to the Three-act structure. The setup is about the backstory of Wade Wilson and how he found his true love

I watched Fatal Attraction with a friend and I said to him "that's what you get when you just want some fun for the weekend". Although going with Alex was a decision Dan made it was very unfortunate that the woman he had an affair with was extremly crazy. I doubt that Alex got pregnen, if she was obssesed with Dan she could have made everything up. I don't belive Dan seen as a hero at the end of the movie because it has his wife the one that had the last shot, literally in the theatrical ending and figuratevly in the orginal ending.…

The opening scene is very significant. Steinbeck wrote it with a lot of descriptive words, mainly showcasing the different colors, "yellow sands" and "white, recumbent limbs. " The first page centralized on the natural, untainted allure surrounding them, without mentioning anything man-made. The genesis of the story was serene and peaceful, much different from the more vicious and distressing finale. The introducing segment is crucial and emphasized because it is cyclical.…

It was exactly one month ago that Wade Wilson, or more widely known as Deadpool, killed his nemesis, Ajax, putting him to rest for eternity. Deadpool, also known as Wade Wilson, is one of Marvel’s famous antiheroes. Artist Rob Liefeld and writer Fabian Nicieza created him, and his first appearance in comics was in The New Mutants issue number 98. Originally made to be a villain, in later issues he has now evolved into an antiheroic persona. Deadpool’s main power is his accelerated healing factor and physical prowess, both that allow him to be effective in combat. This healing ability originates from being experimented on by Dr. Killebrew for a program called Weapon X. It is mainly because of this experiment that a lot of Wade Wilson’s mental afflictions became exaggerated.…

The Journey of the Antihero When it comes to superhero movies, it is quite evident that the film is based on a hero. What does not come to mind is the connection these types of films usually have to Joseph Campbell’s steps of a mystic hero’s journey from his book Hero with a Thousand Faces. These types of films always seem to carry the same theme. The main character is an ordinary person, yet, something unexpected changes their lives, causing them to become some type of supernatural hero off to save the world.…

The Debut (2000) was a film presenting the positive aspects of the Filipino culture, using the real problems and relatable issues that teenagers face. This film is one of the first films I’ve viewed which portrays an Asian culture as what it truly is. Unlike many other films and scenes in Hollywood cinema, this film did not use negative stereotypes or derogatory topics as its main base. Director Gene Cajayon is from the Filipino agency and grew up in its heritage; this reflects on the films true use of Tagalog, traditions, relationships, and cultural values. What was particularly enjoyable was the scenes of dancing and singing that are accurate presentations of the Tinikling dance with string instruments.…

For my film analysis, I chose to analyze the movie “The Outsiders” directed by Francis Ford Coppola and based on the novel “The Outsiders” by S. E. Hinton. In this movie, a gang of outcasts from the north side of town called the Greasers are always fighting against a rival group called the Socials, who are the rich jocks from the south side of town. The story follows two young Greasers, Johnny and Ponyboy, who aren’t like the others. These two see that fighting is pointless, but it’s just the way they live their life. The two boys get into a fight with some Socials and end up killing one.…

Throughout his story, he changes for the better. By the end of the movie he becomes a man who lives for himself instead of others. He has hobbies, passions, and relationships which give his life meaning and purpose. This particular character is played by Will Ferrell who was perfect for this role. This is because of his dry humor and his way of being able to be as awkward without making the audience feel awkward.…

The core myth of this genre is we all live our lives like zombies, so used to our routine. Shaun of the Dead definitely remythologize the core myth, play with it a whole lot and satisfied every aspect of that point they were trying to make. We are so used to our daily life routines, that a lot of times we don’t noticed or realized what’s going on around us and Shaun of the Dead used the zombies as a metaphor of us. We are like the zombies walking around and going through life and content with our routine. A really great example is the beginning of the film.…

Deadpool (2016) is not the typical superhero film by any means, as the main character Deadpool doesn’t conform to the ideals of a superhero. He doesn’t want glory through his battles, shows emotions such as fear, and doesn’t act with integrity, as we see in other heroes. This unusual dynamic of a superhero makes for a much more interesting and surprising story than what we see in films as such as the Batman series and in Captain America. Deadpool is a new, refreshing type of hero that viewers surely hope to see more of in the…

The pilot episode begins with a near four-and-a-half-minute flash-forward prologue scene that starts off with an extreme long-shot view of protagonist Sheriff Rick Grime’s police car approaching the camera, staying in deep focus to show how empty the world is at that point. The camera then begins panning to the right towards the car as it gets closer. As the car stops the camera goes to a blocked shot of Rick Grimes exiting his car before giving the viewers a series of long-shot views of the protagonist’s full body, as he gets out of his car and grabs a gas canister and proceeds to search for gas. This is an example where the creators make use of the challenge of modern television’s HDTV’s wider frame, in contrast to the earlier televisions prior to the digital age as “Victoria O’Donnell suggests in her book Television Criticism, stating that “a wider frame provides challenges to the creators of [a television show] with regard to visual the visual information contained in the picture and the composition within the frame that conveys information” (56).…
