The De Young , the famous fine arts museum of San Francisco, ranked 6th nationwide among museums .The De Young is home to a respected collection of American, African, and Oceanic art. The museum also plays host to major international exhibits, there's often an extra admission charge for these. The first time i came it was for a Keith Haring exhibit, this second visit i made the exhibit was Oscar de La Renta . The museum is Located in San Francisco's Golden Gate Park just as the Legion of honor , another known great museum of San Francisco. It’s name derived from its founder , a newspaper man M.H. De Young .On many Fridays, the museum hosts a lot of family events that are fun and free , with live music, crafts and art projects for everyone

Little information did I need before I made the trip there myself the reviews online praised it . First off , the drive there is filled with a lot of scenic and beautiful locations , various San Francisco landmarks, the museum itself is located in golden gate park along with the botanical garden , and the California academy of sciences .
The first time i went to the De Young i shared a different experience , i was there with my class to see the Keith Haring exhibit my first year of college , the class was Art History 3 , my objective was to analyze and evaluate his work , so my visit was brief and to the point . The second visit I made to the museum just last week was different i was there for the museum , i was there to evaluate and review the De Young . it all ended after i walked and saw every hall and gallery walked by the cool superman painting by the bathrooms , seemed relevant to the new movie coming out , and how it was in a museum , and walked out to eat lunch on grass , i started thinking a taking small notes while i ate , i came to this conclusion and review of the De Young , overall the museum is amazing from an architectural perspective its modern , sure it doesn't have The Thinker in front like the Legion to greet you , but you are greeted by a modern square design that is pleasing to the eye , from its garden that is in the middle to the outside seating section , it's very modern.
