I was blessed to be part of the HCPHES family as my internship placement. I was even more fortunate to be working alongside with Adele in the Disease Control & Clinical Prevention (DCCP). According to the Harris County public health, DCCP is the frontline when it comes to prevention and control of disease. There are five different programs within the DCCP, which includes epidemiology, tuberculosis elimination, refugee health screening, HIV/STD prevention and Ryan White programs. I was placed in the Clinical Quality Management Program as an intern to aid in the standardization of HCPH client satisfaction surveys and assist with initial data collection efforts.
