The Gettysburg Address states exactly this when Lincoln proclaims, “...and that government of the people, by the people, for the people, shall not perish from the earth” (Source C). Lincoln is showing that the American government was founded on the idea that it would be monitored by the citizens rather than the leaders within the nation. Also, Sarah Vowell states within her article, “...If you are sick, you will not be left alone,” (Source E). This statement shows that the nation promotes kindness towards its citizens which is complimented by the government. Of course, the leader, king, or president would have a saying within the government but it still can be vetoed by the citizens if the majority does not agree with the proposed idea. However, if a nation revolutionizes its political system then it would be in disaster for a little awhile. A nation should only care about what its citizens needs are and should not worry about other systems that oppose their own.
