Hero, that’s what they continue to call me here, but I don’t feel like one. I mean, how could I feel like one? I was awarded and honored as one of the best dogfighters in the German military. Having said that, I know that I was only given that recognition because of all the destruction I brought in the air. However, who will honor all of the lost soldiers?
