D.B Cooper Who is D.B Cooper? Cooper is a man who successfully hijacked a plane and was never found. It all started on Nov. 24, 1971, when middle aged man by the name Dan Cooper bought a plane ticket for Northwest Airlines flight #305 in Portland bound for Seattle. He was wearing a dark suit and a black tie. While in the air he ordered a bourbon and coke, after that he opened his briefcase to reveal a bomb. He told the flight attendant to land in Seattle and demanded 200k in cash ( in 20 dollar bills ), four parachutes, and food for the crew before releasing all the passengers. Now, with only three pilots and one flight attendant they took off from Seattle. It was dark and lightly raining, after 45 minutes of flying Cooper jump of the plane with the money and 2 parachutes. He left two parachutes and clip-on black tie, and was never to be seen again. Now that you know the story, let’s get into some theories. …show more content…
It was raining, and the two parachutes he got were not the best. One wouldn't open and the other couldn’t be steered, and they concluded that he was not an experienced parachuter. The only problem with this theory is that no body was found or no parachute. Another thing is that Cooper didn’t know where he landed because he only picked the end location, Mexico City, the pilot picked the route they took. They know he landed in a remote wooded area, so he could have died from anything, animal attack, starvation/dehydration, or other injuries. This theory is one of best, due to all of the
