Daycare Philosophy Statement

I believe that every child is their own individual little person that learns best during interaction. In reference to Vygotsky’s interactionist theory inside and outside forces interact to case change. Children need a thriving, stimulating, and caring environment in which they grow intellectually, emotionally, physically, and socially. A director has a lot of plaining to do before she can open her own daycare. First, a director has to have a purpose for wanting to open his/her own daycare and deal with young children. My purpose for opening my own daycare is my love of children and my mission is to assist low-income families.
Before you can start a daycare, a director has to go through state licensing standards and requirements. You must complete an initial application fee with the application form. The application fee will be non-refundable and applied toward the license fee when the facility is licensed. After the application has been to the OFS, it will be the applicant responsibility to obtain the inspections and approvals of Public Health, Sanitarian Services, and any other appropriate local agencies. My daycare will be one huge classroom that will hold 20 one-three year olds. The classroom will be divided into three sections pertaining to the age of the child. Progressivism is based largely on the belief that lessons must be relevant to the students in order for them to learn. My curriculum will be progressive based allowing the parents to serve as resources and the community to be an extension of the classroom. Having the students help decide what we do for the day is one way I will use my philosophy inside the classroom setting. The second way is reward the students when they achieve a rule that we chose as a class through positive consequences. Students are taught through engaging and real world
