Since everyone at my daycare went to a different school, it was usually just Jamie and me. While walking into school in the crisp fall air, I looked at the colorful trees. When I'd walk into my 2nd grade class, it'd be decorated with monkeys, and looked like a jungle. I loved staring at it,and it was so fun to look at. One day I walked in the classroom and read the board, and I didn't like what was on the board. My teacher advised the …show more content…
I had to read a book while I waited, so I brought Pinkalicious, that was the only book I partially admired. I only enjoyed it because I was obsessed with the color pink at the time. I sat down in the hall with my class and began reading pinkalicious. It was almost my turn, and I was dreading taking this test. A staff member called me up. Observation: The YMCA daycare program is very different from Hope. I went back and forth between the two classrooms with children from ages 2 to 4 and I even spent a bit of time in the infant room. I learned more about the different temperaments of the children and how to address them. In addition, I also saw how children three to four years of age did not know how to say what they wanted so they would hit and throw things. I would have to say the biggest thing that I learned today was figuring how to get a positive behavior and not to reinforce a negative behavior.…
