Day of the Dead is a holiday that is celebrated by many different races such as Mexicans, Catholics, Italians, South Americans, Philippines, and Colombians. Catholics call this holiday “All Soul’s & All Saint’s Day” and Mexicans call it “Dia de los Muertos.” The reason why this holiday is celebrated is because they spend a lot of money on their self-sufficient, rural based, local families, and families that have been deceased for a period of time. Most people that celebrate this holiday spend two months worth of income to honor their deceased relatives. The Day of the Dead started in the 1500’s before Spanish explorers started arriving in Mexico. A ritual that a lot of people do on this holiday is they go to their deceased
