Well, let me be the first to say that I have. In fact, after watching Dawn of The Dead, for the first time as a fifth grader, I was afraid to go to sleep. Practically being paralyzed in places like Las Vegas, New York, and even parts of Los Angeles. As fans, we rarely get to witness characters escape to the countryside away from the attacks. With that being said, a useful tactic that will insure your safety should a zombie apocalypse ever happen would be escaping the wilderness. Although it gets cold in the backwoods, especially during the winter season, you can still survive using river moss for example, as a way to keep warm at night and by building a hut using bush craft to shelter you from blizzards. This includes water, batteries, clothes, shoes, gas, and even hygiene products. After all, just because you’re running from zombies doesn’t mean you have to smell like one.
If you’re worried about getting attacked when you’re sleeping, or when your back is turned, zombie proof your environment. To put it differently, set traps that rings bells, and make noise whenever someone walks near your sleeping ground.
Stay in shape. Remember, the undead don’t sleep and can run for hours on end until they catch what they’re looking for. You never know when you’ll have to rely on your legs to save you.
Stick to rooftops. As was mentioned earlier, the best way to stay alive is by constantly moving and going where zombies can’t. You don’t necessarily need to be a superhero to jump from rooftop to rooftop, just make sure you stick the landing, and use it to keep away from the undead.
You’re going to need smart out there, and remain one step ahead of the pack. Keep in mind, the dead can’t get tired. So don’t let one catch you otherwise, you’ll be another victim added to the zombie ranks, or you’ll be lunch meat. Good luck out there, and keep your organs where they belong- in your
