Davy Crockett Davy Crockett was born on 17 August 1786 in Limestone,Tennessee he was the fifth of nine kids.His parents were John and Rebecca Crockett.Davy’s parents moved to Morristown in 1790.Davy had a poor education he received six months of school and started when he was 13 years of.
He moved to Virginia driving cattle do to a fight at school and feared that his father was going to beat him.Davy went home at 16 years old and saw that his family was poor and in debt.Davy worked for his father’s creditor.In 1813 davy joined militia to fight the enemy known as the “Red Sticks,”[Red Sticks-Creek Indians that attacked Fort Mims in Alabama].Davy’s place was to scout the land/creek.
