The library of congress is an agency that serves as the research library for congress. It is meant to provide information to the legislative process. The library of congress was established on April 24, 1800. The purpose of the Library of congress is to serve congress and give them information. However the Library of Congress also serves other federal agencies as well as people such as scholars by providing them with information. The head of the Library of Congress or the acting Librarian of Congress is David S. Mao. I chose the Library of Congress as they are crucial to research.
