Most people will find it odd how one can be an expert in conflicting topics. Philosophy is infamously known to be often frowned-upon by scientists. Feynman is the living proof that two of the most unlikely subjects can be the best complement to each other.
While a philosopher’s understanding of a physicist’s perspective towards nature is something in relation to complicated equations and scientific phenomena, a physicist’s view on a philosopher’s point of view towards nature is ethically and morally related. At the end of the day, both the physicist and philosopher are able to appreciate nature, the same amount each other do. The only difference is that what aspect of nature the physicist or the philosopher appreciating is different. What is spectacular of Feynman is the fact that he is able to fathom the two different concepts of the two worlds. Through science, he understood nature in a way he is thinking of zooming in and out of it, trying to figure out its composition in the process. Through philosophy …show more content…
I do hope that I will be scientifically literate one way or another. I have a passion for art and want to involve myself in that world, but sometimes I wonder what is outside that world of “freedom within constraint”. Beyond the world of art, there lies another world, a world called “science”. I feel that having a solid understanding of both art and science allows you to see the world with an eagle’s eye perspective. So far, I find myself in the shoreline of being scientifically literate. I believe I am heading in that direction, but I know I am still far away from the
