The Sandlot is stuffed with face close ups on the children, requiring them to put on their best expression in the movie. They did a spectacular job at this, and all of the kids got filmed in these multiple times in the movie. Another good piece of acting was the voices of the kids in exciting times and furious times. For example, when the kids resolve a problem together, they let out a vivacious cheer in perfect harmony.
