David ’Davy’ Crockett is one of the most historical figures in texas history.Mr.Crockett was a great man with a lot of accomplishments.Davy was an outdoorsman,a congressman,and the last defender of the alamo. Davy Crockett was born on August 17,1786 in Greene County, Tennessee.His parents names were John and Rebecca Crockett.He was the fifth born son out of nine children.Davy had many chores but One chore he loved was to hunt game for dinner.By the time davy was twelve he had moved three times.When he was thirteen he ran away from home so he didn't have to go to school.He have to work hard and odd jobs to keep himself fed.A couple years later he returned to his family and they could hardly recognise him because he was a mature young man. Crockett married Mary ‘Polly” Finley on August 14, 1806.together they had three kids named John Wesley,William Finley,and Margaret Finley Crockett.In 1815 Polly died at the young age of twenty six.He married another woman named Elizabeth Patton Crockett.
