The current state of this year’s presidential campaign is chaotic. There are a loot of US citizens who do not know who they are going to vote for. Some people are even voting for the presidential candidate that is opposite of their political party. Whoever people vote for, being correctly informed is the most important thing when considering a political candidate. In the age of the internet, there are millions of pieces of information available to anybody. However, not everything on the internet is true. So, when searching for information it is important to look at who is providing it and if it is accurate. In order to examine different sources that provide information on Donald Trump, one must consider the publisher, author, relevancy, facts, bias and reliability of the source to determine if it …show more content…
This article,”The Price of Free Media,” was written by David Bodney and was published in Communications Lawyer. Bodney discussed how Donald Trump was able to get a lot of free media coverage. Then he asserted that the media can make people like a bad person. He did this by comparing Trump to Hitler and Mussolini. After that he compared watching Trump on television to watching a sports game. To conclude his article, he mentioned a media affair from 2014 in Turkey. At first the article seemed like it was objective, however, with the author being a democrat, a firm bias was detected. Then, by comparing Trump with such negative subjects, there is no doubt the author had a bias. The next questionable piece of this article was the publisher, there is not a lot of information about who and what they print. However, because it is in a journal, the article was probably checked. The facts provided are relevant to the current issues. However the opinions, although relevant, may be a touch too skewed one direction. So, for someone reading this article in order to form their own opinions, this source might not be the most reliable
