17th 1994 at the Good Samaritan hospital. My family consists of mother, father, and brother who live in Germany. Growing up was as idyllic as one could suspect, in my prepubescent years we moved to the states in search of “gods’ plan” for us, starting a church in Texas. The church siphoned our resources to the brink of poverty, but we were happy all the same. Through the eyes of a jaded 5-year-old, everything was but a perfect utopia, neither a problem nor a care in the world. Mother was a stay at home at the wife, dictated by the doctrine of the church, whilst father worked odd jobs donating what blood he can muster to pay the wages. The medical field has been a passion of mine ever since those jaded 5-year-old eyes beheld what is possible and through compassion and empathy, fixed and focused now over the decades I aspire to help in my own way.
In the journey, I have set multitudes of goals that I feel will enhance my profession values, in saying that I am a timid person, a quality best expressed as, undesirable in the medical field. Knowing this one of the multiple goals I have set is be a little more outgoing, a feat easier said than done.
Communication and professionalism go hand and hand, how can one be timid and explain what is wrong with the patient if they are too shy to say it. Explaining things on a professional level is where I lack as well, often frantic especially in a stressful situation and/or time sensitive. To relate that to a professional value level, again communication plays a big role, relaying information effectively in the workplace is the crux of a good employee and a great one; and I intend of being a great
