Introduction David Beckham is an a heroic iconic from the local to the international level. He has multiple characteristics that is filled when finding out the definition of a true leader. He was born with God-given talent to become a phenomenal soccer player and having groundbreaking moral that created him to become an unbelievable leader in the community. Mr. Beckham also has a large amount of motivation to keep up his determination and inspiration to encourage others to be even better than himself. Giving his time and wealth to other less fortunate is a attribute that society misses often. His parents, Ted and Sandra, were proud Manchester United fans and was raised loving the game of soccer. Since he was a young boy, he always said that he wanted to become a soccer player and did just that and didn’t care about his grades. He has a driving passion to play soccer and dropped out of school at the age of 16 to play right midfield on the Manchester United Junior Team (Pavao, 2016.) Two years later, at the age of 18, he was a full-time starter on the Manchester United team just after winning the FA Youth Cup when he was 17 (Biography, n/a.) Unfortunately, he was unable to get that jersey number, so he chooses his role model number 23, Michael Jordan. The team did poorly that year and David Beckham was thrown out of three different games in the next two seasons (Pavao, 2016.) He was also a star off the field and was recognized by the United States and made a movie called, Bend it Like Beckham. Sometime later he was signed over to the Los Angeles Galaxy and was given a $250 million contract. He was announced team captain, however, he sprained his ankle and was unable to play for the next six weeks within his first season. He came back to play in the last home game of the season and went through a rough patch that Milan and Galaxy tried to get a trade agreement within the next season. He was able to move to Milan and assist the 5-2 win in January of 2010 (Pavao, 2016.) At the age of 38, David Beckham announced his retirement after winning the French club Paris Saint-Germain title and ending his 21-year soccer career. He had become England’s wealthiest sportsman and reported to earn more than $46 million annually (Biography, n/a.) This is possibly only the middle or beginning of his leadership
