Dave Schultz by Jesse Mendez

The historical figure I am presenting is Olympic wrestler Dave Schultz. Dave was born on June 6, 1959 in Palo Alto, California to mother Dorsey and father Philip. When Dave was five he tried wrestling for the first time and hated it, and quit three weeks into it. As he got older around the age of nine to thirteen he started to put on a lot of weight and became overweight. Since he was an overweight kid in middle school kids had no mercy on him and often bullied him and he ended up getting the nickname Pudge. He also had Dyslexia which made it worse for him and gave the kids another thing to bully him with. When he was in middle school he was approached by the wrestling schools wrestling coach asking if he would like to join the wrestling team because they needed a wrestler who was big to fill there 170 weight class. He joined the team because that was one of few sports that he would not be made fun of for his weight and he felt like he fit in and accepted. That is when we really hit it off with the sport of wrestling and began to train hard to become a better wrestler.
When Dave was a senior in high school he competed at Great Plains freestyle tournament and took first place which qualified him

Joseph Pilates had a very interesting life, starting off a sick child who suffered from asthma, rickets, and rhumatic fever he dedicated his life to becoming healthier and becoming more physically strong. I think that part of him is very admirable. I myself have asthma and fibromyalgia and thats enough to make excercize difficult for me, i cant imagine having rickets aswell which wouldve made his bones very fragile and easily breakable from the lack of vitamin D. I also thought that it was interesting that during his internment of world war 1 he taught people self defense and wrestling and that thats how he discovered his love for teaching. He lived a long life of 83 years considering how sick he was as a child and the fact that he was interned…

Howard D. Schultz was born on July 19, 1953, and raised in the rough and tumble Bay View housing project in Brooklyn, New York. His mother worked as a receptionist and his father held a variety of jobs, none of which paid much or offered such basic benefits as medical coverage for him and his family. When Schultz was 7, his father lost his job as a diaper-service delivery driver after breaking his ankle. At the time, sick pay or even legally mandated disability assistance were luxuries to those in low-paying jobs, and in the ensuing months, the family was literally too poor to put food on the table. It was a memory that Schultz would carry with him into adulthood.…

Before I even looked at my results I knew that I would have a lot of protein because I had turkey, and chicken twice that day. I also thought that I would have a lot of carbohydrates because I had a lot of bread and mashed potatoes and that is not good.…
