Date Rape Speech

Once the woman falls into his trap she feels helpless A thief will not steal unless the opportunity presents itself. Courage cannot be acted upon unless there is something to be courageous about. In the event of date rape, the perpetrator seeks opportunity. Once it has been found, this thief steals the courage of a woman. Date rape is a gruesome crime, and it is very surprising to know that some people think that it is deserving for one to receive this treatment. Due to this, most victims will not speak out. When people think of date rape a few questions come to mind. How did this happen? Who was she with? Did she call the police? The number one question that everybody has. After this question people then want to know what she was wearing. Somehow there are actually some men think that women can bring this gruesome horrific crime on themselves by the apparel some women chose to wear. (Susan T. Bell) Because of this society tries to justify how a woman can self-victimize herself, by stating he was overbearing and or to touchy.
Because this beautiful land we call home, was built by the brains of men, some states have laws against date rape, if the victims consumed alcohol. Due to the opened mindedness of society/ government theses two categories have unconsciously banned women form speaking out against this crime. Which give you the answer to the last question, did she call the police? Sadly the answer is no. For those women whom are courageous enough to speak out, sadly the persecution of rapist are slim to none. Which sheds a light at the end of the tunnel for other criminals. Because of this, the victim is left with lifelong emotional distress. While society pat the back of the perpetrator and he get away Scott free with another notch to add to his belt. Sadly, once this crime is committed there aren’t any test that can be done to justify especially if the victims has had more than one consensual partner. It is basically his word against her and vise versus. If the man feels as though he was led on to have sex with the woman then, soon realizes he was wrong. He takes actions into his own hands and gets what he wants. Any human who can get off of the suffering of another human, is not a human at all but is a monster. Just because a woman is revealing and or non-revealing, friendly and or non-friendly does not justify the taking of her dignity and
