He ushered me to a Restaurant that specialized in local cuisine, and that sold El Presidente’s beers. The décor inside the restaurant created an intimate ambiance, perfect for a date-night.

Esteban was entertaining and made me laugh a great deal throughout the evening. Actually, I uncovered a lot of interesting information about him. Truth be told, it surprised me to learn he lived in New York last year, was an attorney and attended law school with Roberto. We had a lot in common and shared a lot interests.

After dinner, he drove me to a popular club where we danced Hispanic music until my feet hurt.

The place did not have air condition, making our clothes doused with sweat, but I did not care. I was having a magnificent

Thought provoking passage from this section: “Cassia Reyes, the society is pleased to present you with your match. I miss them already. Despite the freezing cold snow and the nipping air, we had a lovely Christmas break. As I inspect my child, now grown with children of her own, holding tickets back to their home, longing envelopes me. Hoards of people push past, unaware of my pain, on their own schedules and heading toward different trains, talking and texting on their cell phones. My family boards, time as if in slow-motion, and waves goodbye until I see them again.…

Sailing along at 2-4 mph there appeared a man holding a small cardboard sign with just two words: Homeless Veteran. When parallel to the guy, I lowered the window half way, and on a whim, asked him if he had eaten today. No he replied. I said, its Christmas and I'm on my way to the diner ......…

He said me he wanted to spend some time with me before he left, I told him that I had to work all night again until one in the morning, but he wanted to wait for me. When work was over I ran home and changed into the cutest and first thing I could grab right away, and I met him at my work because we lived in different towns so it would be easier to just meet in the middle.…
