The difference between official and unofficial sources of data on delinquency is that unofficial data is used by researchers it is not related with politicians, juvenile justice policy makers, and media. Unofficial data studies the delinquency while in the other hand juvenile justice agencies use official data to understand the delinquency in juveniles.
