Recognizing Your Actions Literature often brings a positive impact to several people when reading something astonishing. A book has so many meanings behind it which we usually obtain something specific that we enjoyed about the book. There is so many purposes literature brings to a person. There are times when it makes you think about your own personal experiences and your actions you have done which is familiar with the literature you are reading. When reading, you prepare yourself for what the future has ahold of you and the more you read the more you understand what others think about. It can also help those people to become nicer human beings in different types of situations in their life. In the literature, Lilia’s father was so friendly to the choir that he invited them to participate in the Friendship Baptist church to sing. He was so nice he never thought the society was full of hate towards the African Americans which he found it normal to just invite them to sing. As readers, this helps us acknowledge how we should not discriminate others by their physical appearance. If we ever find ourselves in a situation where you think its right to invite someone to either sit with you at a table or even hang out with them, this encouraged me to not let others stop you from doing what you think is right. According to the video What is Literature For?, “It shows us examples of kindly, generous, sympathetic people” (0:1:40- 0:1:44). When Rosetta arrived at the school Lila was the first one to talk to her because she didn’t want her to feel lonely since she was new to the school. This was a very kind act she did and this was a great example that other people can take with them when seeing someone alone or
