Dark wave is a remarkable music genre that started gaining popularity in the late 1970s in Germany and. This genre of music was brought to the forefront in the early 1980s and it owed its success to the new generation of artists who dared to experiment with post-punk and new wave music. Dark wave music got bigger over that decade and remains as relevant even till this day.
