In a Dark, Dark Wood: I have never read any books that were that long and that in depth but I am glad that I did. As soon as I started reading it I dedicated a lot of my time to continuing to read it. This book is not just about someone who was murdered but the steps that lead up to the murder. The main character, Alex finally escapes prison but along with escaping he also starts a war between the world and the creatures that were locked up in the prison. The story is kind of slow but it covers for with interesting side conflicts that happen. I like how the story does not just show them running from the police but how the prison escape leads to something much greater than just what was in the prison. I would recommend this book for people who like books with side conflicts that don't have to pertain to the main
