I would like to recommend to you a very enthusiastic, committed and loyal young adult, Darienne Frericks for South Dakota State University’s Scholarship opportunities. I have known Darienne for the past seven years as a teacher, advisor and basketball coach. In all instances, Darienne shows a strong enthusiasm to succeed and a great sense of responsibility to do the task well.

Darienne excels in the science classroom with her enthusiasm to explore the unknown and to question the concepts around her. Darienne utilizes her experience with diabetes not to hinder her education but to further educate others. Darienne has performed research projects in the area of diabetes effects and is currently working on a method to help with dedication
