D.A.R.E.? What does it stand for? Well, no. Let’s just start from the beginning.
D.A.R.E. has taught me alot. I thought drugs were just wine, beer, and smoking. But there is much more to it. I never knew how bad smoking was. I mean, it is just crazy. I would have never guessed that second hand smoking, breathing in the smoke from someone else, kills over 50,000 people each year. I did not even really know what second hand smoking was until D.A.R.E. And I thought D.A.R.E. was about drugs only. But I was wrong. It was also about different ways of communication. Now that helped me.
I have used the D.A.R.E. Decision Making Model many times. Some times, even when I don’t know it. There was a situation where I could go with my sister to her friends
