There was no drive on scene, at that time, but a tow truck service had been contacted by the owner of the vehicle, Ms. Karla Granger, to tow the vehicle. At that time, the crash had not been reported to the Sheriff’s Office. The tow truck driver advised the crash was reported to their company on 06/25/16 at approximately 02:00 hours. I responded to her location and briefly spoke with the suspect who was identified as Christian Granger. She transported him to the office and contact was made with his mother who also responded to the office. I read Miranda warnings to both who agreed to speak with me. Granger initially stated he did not enter the home, but as the interview continued he ultimately admitted to going into the home. He stated he thought it was his friend, Hunter Braswell’s residence. He stated he didn’t remember damaging the screen and stated he was alone when this occurred. He was released to his mother. I was contacted by Sergeant Story later in the day who stated he had received other complaints in Courtland, Virginia of damage and larceny. I asked her to come to the office and told her that it pertained to her son. Lee Ann followed me to the Sheriff’s office, and Detective Griffith spoke with Lee Ann and Christian. Detective Griffith gave me Christian’s name along with Hunter Braswell’s name. Detective Griffith asked me to go back to the house and ask Jamie and Heather if they knew the two juveniles. I went back to 26204 Rochelle Street and spoke with Jamie and Heather. I told them what we had found out about this incident and asked them if they wished to press charges on the juvenile.

Jamie and Heather talked about it and stated that they did not want to press charges. I asked Jamie and Heather if they knew the two juveniles and they said no. I cleared from the residence and went back to the office and advised Detective Griffith of what Jamie and Heather said. This investigation was turned over to Detective Griffith.

Dispatch called me by phone and stated that Jamie and Heather stated that they are missing 2 bottles of Vapor juice. I told dispatch to call Deputy Griffith and ask him about these bottles. I told dispatch I left the office while Detective Griffith was talking to Lee Ann and Christian and I did not know if he told Deputy Griffith about the bottles. Based upon this information, the bottles of vapor juice were placed in the property section as stolen at this
