Darcy exhibiting prejudice when he talked to Elizabeth: “I have no wish of denying that I did everything in my power to separate my friend from your sister, or that I rejoice in my success.” (Austen 186-187). By way of explaining, Darcy says that he did in fact put himself in front of Mr. Bingley and Jane in order to separate them. This quote shows prejudice because it presents how Mr. Darcy intervene in a situation that he does not know completely. He meddled because Darcy has a prejudice towards Jane in having this he involved himself in stopping the courting.
