I agree somewhat with your opinion, however, with respect to what you said with technological advances this contradicts itself as in the search of clean energy we are actually damaging the earth by increasing the levels of pollutions and ecological disasters such as the drilling that occurred in 2010 in the Gulf of Mexico which led to a major oil spill (p 403). With this type of actions, we are actually going in circles and making little to no progress as we are only cleaning our own mess. Religions, being as influential as they are, should take the lead in the conservation of the planet.
