Dante's Inferno Literary Analysis

Dante’s Inferno Literary Analysis I am reading Dante’s Inferno by Dante Alighieri. In the book we read that Virgil guides Dante through the circles of hell so that he could reach heaven where Dante’s wife Beatrice awaits. Dante created this story in order to give the world an image of afterlife and to explain the Christian belief of sin and punishment. He takes us through each circle of hell describing what it looks like, who gets sent there, and what punishment they receive. Through the story Dante is preaching the perfection of God’s justice. He shows that Hell exists to punish sin and the sinners suffer getting punished because of their sins.
