Danny And Sandy's Fall In Love Depicted In The Film Grease

In the first scene of Grease, Sandy, an out of town Australian, and Danny, a local teen, have met on the beach and fallen in love. Summer is coming to an end and Sandy worries that this is where they say goodbye for good. Danny comforts her and ends the scene with, “it’s only the beginning.” This flashback parallels the film’s plot. It gives the audience story information about how the two have fallen in love and the audience can assume Danny and Sandy will meet again.
