Summer has just started and Kayla is already bored, she goes downstairs to find her brother watching the television, also looking bored, so she asked him if he wanted to go for a bike ride. As they head outside, they run into their mother sitting at the kitchen table reading a book, so they let her know they are going for a bike ride and will be back before noon. They head over to their bikes by the side of the house, when they get there Kayla realizes her back tire is flat “Great, just what I need.” (NMM: rolls eyes and sighs) Kayla walks over to the shed and grabs the air pump walks back and airs up the tire. They get on their bikes and start going towards the road. They ride their bikes for awhile and they find this trail, Dannie stops and looks at his sister, “Let’s see where it leads.” (NMM: gives a daring look) “I don’t know Dannie.” Kayla answers, “Come on Kayla don’t be a scaredy cat.” …show more content…
(NMM: laughs while slightly shaking her head) Dannie was in front of her so he did not notice this had happened after she hollers at Dannie, he comes back she tells him what happened. “Well I saw this house up here maybe they could help us.” Kayla replied “Dannie we are not supposed to talk to strangers” “They might be able to help us Kayla.” Dannie answered. They then left Dannie’s bike by Kayla’s and started walking to the strangers house, it was a two-story house and the outside of it was covered in ivy, but there was an old lady sitting outside.
