This book is historical fiction because it’s about the Holocaust and the Holocaust takes place in Germany and the culture back then was that Jews were the worst even though other cultures were bashed. Daniel is a fake character but what happened was real. Germany had many different places that were big Holocaust locations including Lodz, Auschwits, Frankfurt and Buchenwald. These were where they killed their victims and made them work to death. By “their” I mean the Nazi. The Nazi served Hitler who was the dictator of Germany. Hitler made people believe that killing the other cultures was ok. He used gas chambers and firing squads to kill the Jews.
