In Daniel 2:31-43, we learn that God outlined in a dream to the Babylonian king that from his time until the end, the world would witness only four empires. Historical record has also confirmed Daniel’s prophecies thus:
1. Head of Gold – Lion (A symbol of the Babylonian Kingdom between 605-539 BC)
Nebuchadnezzar was an important king during this time. He was responsible for building one of the most important gigantic cities, built up with terraces of gardens watered from a great reservoir. He died of pride and was succeeded by his son, Belshazzar.
