Lawyer Lt. Daniel Kaffee (Tom Cruise), in A Few Good Men, is faced with the challenges of determining the innocence of his defendant in the same way that the jurors in Twelve Angry Men had to conclude the fate of a young man tried for murder. Throughout A Few Good Men the audience watches Lt. Kaffee defend two men being tried for murder, conspiracy to commit murder and conduct unbecoming of a United States Marine. Lt. Kaffee quickly learns that the men he is defending abide by a strict code of “Unit, Corps, God, Country”. With the help of other lieutenants, Kaffee starts to prep the defendants for trial and learns of the term “code red”, an unofficial military term giving permission to members of a unit to use hazing to teach another member
