I learned a lot about the America language, with a common language you can communicate well because you express your ideas. My cousins grew up here so it’s easy for them to communicate more efficiently. In Cameroon I was never use to using the bus for transportation, but in America I take the bus every morning to go to school and then in the evening back to home. I have been told by my dad that is a big step towards independence and going to the mall, grocery store, and city parks have become easier. Moreover I don’t have to depend on anybody as to go where I need to go to. I have actually learned to do somethings independently on my own like taking decision alone about my life because in Cameroon my parents did most of that for me, cleaning the house, and taking care of my cousins when my uncle travels. Going to school and working has also taught me a lot about saving up money, calculating your expenditure for the week, and helping out my uncle in paying some little bills at home. All of this little things have taught me a lot in life and I know its building me up to become a stronger and more prosperous man in the future.
