Nullifying GMOs, not a big deal As we head deeper into the 21st century, new scientific discoveries are being build as the foundation for humanity. Genetic modification is one of the foundations that might crumple and collapse because of the dangers of genetically modified products. Genetically modified products are one of the minor issues that countries discuss and take action. In the United States, genetically modified food products are favored by the majority of the public, but some people have argued that the process of genetically modifying products is dangerous and can cause harm in humans if any mistakes in modifying is made. If all the reasons against GMOs are true, then taking all genetically modified products …show more content…
Unstable genetically modified food products can cause allergy in humans. Mark Bittman wrote an article in the New York times called “Stop Making Us Guinea Pigs” and in that article, Bittman argues that numerous genetically created herbicide contains cancerous ingredients. Cancerous cells in herbicide are a huge problem, especially to farmers. Farmers are more likely to be exposed to cancer when they are in contact with the herbicide. Barbara Johnson wrote an article which talks about the first human death caused by GMOs. Johnson would agree with Bittman because Bittman argues that GMOs are starting to be a threat to humans and Johnson shares the information about a death caused by GMOs. Both Johnson and Bittman have the idea that GMOs are one thing to ban in the United States . If one person dies, what are the possibilities of another falling as a victim? Bittman and Johnson mainly go back to back because cancerous cells in products can equal death in humans and overall GMOs (Genetically modified organisms) are not safe for humans, so it is worthless to sell a dangerous product in the market. People need to know the background history of a GMO and its victim to better understand the dormant volcano. People need to start reducing their amount of GMO consumption and start eating more organic …show more content…
The majority of all stores in the United States sell genetically modified products and every year for one month stores across the United States put a ban on selling any genetically modified product(PRNewswire). Stephanie Strom writes an article about restaurants like Chipotle, has put restrictions on all genetically modified products being used at Chipotle. (PRNewswire) would support Strom because Strom argues that genetically modified products have a negative effect on nature and (PRNewswire) would agree to put restrictions on all GMOs to better slow down the creation of Genetically modified products which would in turn slow down the production of GMOs. If no one is creating GMOs, then the chances that GMOs affect nature are minimal. If the effects on nature caused by genetically modified products are minimal, it has a positive influence on Eco specialists, who look forward to bring balance to nature. Since eco-specialists care about nature, then they would oppose GMOs. If eco-specialists oppose GMOs, then taking all GMOs out of circulation would be a win-win situation to the eco-specialists. Recently Jessica Ware wrote an article called “Maggie noodles banned in India over concerns of excess lead levels.” In this article, Ware argues that a favorable food product in India was found with high concentrations of lead and lead is one of the most poisonous
