One of the biggest problems in the world is global warming. Global warming occurs when levels of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere increase. It can be dangerous for our environment. Many problems could result from global warming, rising sea level which could result in the flooding of low-lying coastal areas and cities, change in weather patterns can lead to hurricanes, floods and other unusual weather, an effect on animals which can and many more. Many people tend to ditch items when they are broken and purchase new items. However, by doing this, it creates more trash, which contributes to global warming. Instead, by choosing to fix old items and reuse them, one person can considerably reduce the amount of trash that goes into landfills and thereby, reduces one’s carbon footprint. Recycle can reduce garbage by reusing plastic bags, bottles, papers or glass. For instance, when we buy foods, we can use our own containers instead of using plastic bags. In addition, simple recycling by sorting items out of the trash that can be recycled helps to keep landfills less full and again, reduces the carbon footprint.
