I agree with you that energy drinks just give you a brief boost basically from the large amount of sugar and large amount of caffeine and then you crash. I don't think a lot of people are aware of all of the serious potential dangers from drinking them. Headaches, anxiety, and insomnia are less frightening possibilities, but when you hear about the chance of heart arrhythmias and cardiac arrest it is very alarming. It makes you realize the serious health risks involved in consuming them. I think the take-away is to realize that energy drinks have the potential to be very dangerous, and we should choose healthier alternatives such as making sure to have breakfast, eating protein rich foods, and exercising to safely give us that needed
