Gopher White, founder of the Rainforest Connection, educated in physics and engineering, informs in his Ted Talk that in addition, to the already thousands of trees that are been cut by companies, thousands more are been cut illegally. Moreover, most of the climate changes are mainly caused by human activities, such as burning fossil fuels,and deforestation most of which were results from the Industrial Revolution(White). People and society are becoming selfish of what negative global wide events companies are causing Earth in order to produce their favorite products. Fifteen year reporter for The New York Times of the global environment, Andrew C. Revkin, writes “Human emissions of greenhouse gases have grown so swiftly over the past decade that they’re following the worst case scenario of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change”(par 2). A scenario of the environmental changes are the rising seas. Rising seas is such an important global wide problem that many ignore. Major cities like New York and Miami among others worldwide will be affected by the flooding of the rising seas. There is two problems, one people don’t due anything to go green and help the environment. Second, people continue to pollute Earth by not recycling or taking green choices in their daily routines. Nature Conservancy informs, “the five hottest years on record have all occurred since 1997 and the 10 hottest since 1990, including the warmest years on record – 2005 and 2010””(Nature Conservancy par3). Water is the number one source for human survival. Its is critical that cities work together to have awareness of the importance of water waste. Luxurious neighborhoods have large amounts of water waste in order to keep their green lawn stands for tittle of prestige; wasting water by taking long showers. The worriment is that wasting water is so easy for anyone to do. Wasting water is as simply as taking a thirty minute shower. The good news is that helping save water is also easy. Human hands have a lot of power in helping save water. For example, turning the knob off when scrubbing in the shower can help reduce the shower water being used. Then, turning off the sprinklers and rescheduling them them for the afternoon can help reduce water waste. Every drop
