Students are taught to learn responsibility when having their phone around. You're allowed to stay in touch with your parents if you are in need of something. That leads to "in case of an emergency" situations where you need to get a hold of your parents or guardian. Another reason is that students are happier when they have their cell phone. Studies show that if students are happy, their grades make them successful. Students tend to panic when they don't have their cell phone. While these reasons can be relatable, cell phones aren't as spectacular as you think they are. 75% of teens use their phone for these main reasons: taking pictures, listening to music, and playing games. According to parents, 48% use the phone to monitor their child's location. 64% look through their child's phone.
