“Dangerous Knowledge” delves into the deeper side of mathematics by trying to understand nature through mathematics, philosophy, physics, and logic. Each of them over obsessed with finding answers, and each time they reached a new height in research they found themselves with more and more questions.
Georg Cantor was the first mathematician who propelled his curiosity …show more content…
He believed that everything was predictable in old physics, the world in thermodynamics is full of change. Boltzmann established the relationship between entropy and the statistical analysis of molecular motion. He said other mathematicians never added chaos to the equation. Boltzmann captured mortality in an equation. It would drive him insane and he would suffer the same fate as Cantor trying to prove it. Boltzmann seemed to be obsessed with his theory, writing about it continuously. He was obsessing over proving the existence of atoms. These men may have been getting closer to something bigger. They had the intuition of something greater, but in math you cant’t calculate …show more content…
They tried discovering something they should not have known. It may have been something deeper than mathematics and physics, the mathematics of GOD. Mathematics gives us the illusion of control. These four men were obsessed, and they went insane when they couldn't prove their visions to be real. They cared too much about things that were very abstract. They lost themselves. They all were trying to figure out the true nature of reality. We all wonder what God is, and what Life is, but Mathematics has yet to prove the existence of it or reason for it. There is nothing more frustrating than not knowing how something works, and having blind faith in it. This is the idea of spirituality. They were all looking for an explanation of what this is. The wanted the key to unlock the secrets of the universe. Some say we are obsessed with trying to become like God. I doubt that this is over, in the future we will see more people struggle with this same question and try to answer it. Can we be content with not knowing and When is enough, far
