People love the sport of football and millions of fans come out each year to watch a football game. But during these games people don't look at it as the sport of dangerous concussions. They look at it for the entertainment and it gets the fans adrenaline pumping. The NFL is finding new ways to make the sport safer and creating less injuries by reducing full contact practices and eliminating as many kickoffs.
Full contact practices have been limited to reduce injuries while playing. The NFL finding new ways to prevent concussions is very good. It makes the players safer while doing the sport they love. Also if a player gets hurt they just may say “oooh” and forget about it and go back to the game. What they really look for is how high they can jump, or how they faked someone out while they were running. People feel that the dangers in football are worth paying for if they love the sport that much and they already know what comes with it. When the NFL seeks players for the draft, “putting personal safety first isn’t so easy. And that’s a price they’re willing to pay”(Clarke, 2016). The players know when they get hurt, they can get hurt really bad but they have such a passion for football that they still sacrifice their health for what they love to do. However, Finding safer ways to play the sport is always better than just playing football and getting injured without even trying, peoples’ health is apart of their life and a person’s life is nothing to play with. “This is our commitment: continually make changes to improve the safety of the game at all levels while investing heavily in research that drives more change. The league's support for independent research will continue to be robust so that advanced understanding of brain science, including CTE, can spur promising innovations for detecting, preventing and treating head injuries”(Oben,2016).
