Danger Of Cell Phones Essay

Dangers of Cell Phone Use As of 2016, more than 7.4 billion people have obtained a mobile device without curiosity for cell phone radiation. Scientists began researching the concept of cell phone radiation by determining the causes and evaluating people who had developed brain damage. The science industry and the government have been working together to see if there is a connection between radiation and cell phones. Cell phones are critically dangerous to health by releasing radioactivity, resulting in neural damage, cancer, and/or a brain tumor. Cell phones release radiation from radio frequencies which may affect users’ health. In particular, “Findings from two studies that investigated the health of individuals following 10 years of cell …show more content…
Specifically, complaints from patients include how “Cancer has been an outcome of exposure to mobile telephones by some scientific reports” (Repacholi 323). Due to these reports, some cancer patients around the globe have considered mobile devices as a factor of their illness. Consequently, x-rays have been known to expose ionized radiation to people, increasing the risk of cancer. Evidently, “The WHO/International Agency for Research on cancer has classified radio frequency electromagnetic fields, those emitted by cell phones, as being carcinogenic” (Healthy Tips to Protect Against Radiation). “Carcinogenic” is any substance, or radiation, that is a direct link involved in causing cancer. Meanwhile, most of Earth’s population recognizes obtaining cancer from genetics rather than from using a cell phone. Admittedly, multiple studies have proven that radio frequencies from cell phones are exposing cancer to the human body and the disease is just as …show more content…
In fact, a recent study conducted by Danish researchers has ended health scares that linked to cell phones. The Danish researchers conclude that cell phones are not dangerous as well as the researchers strongly believe illnesses such as cancer and/or a brain tumor do not come from cell phones. According to the Institute of Cancer Epidemiology, “A study comparing cancer incidence rates over the past 30 years had conclusively proven that cell phone users do not face a higher risk of cancer” (“Danish Scientists Dismiss cell phone health risks”). This proven study could mean that the evidence is correct, in which cell phones are harmless. Although, there is a possibility that the study is incorrect and the rates do not match up which means, the facts are inconclusive. In addition, “Because radio frequencies are invisible and imperceptible, individuals cannot directly report on their exposure” (Anders 1741). In this case, no one is ever 100% sure about the exposure of radiation or how they got a tumor or cancer. There may have been times where doctors falsely say cell phones are the reason to advertise their study. Furthermore, while many scientists, doctors, researchers, and patients believe cellular phones affect human health, others are dogmatic on their decision that the technology is
