I feel power influences not only culture but also people. In the documentary, Danger of a Single Story, Chimamanda speaks of her experiences in other cultures. She mentions her life in Africa and how her culture made her look down upon others who has less than she. She firstly speaks of a boy named Fide, who her family often helped and sheltered. She thought that because Fide and his family were poor that they were automatically incapable of anything else.
