Dance has been proven to increase brain activity. A study shows that dancing frequently decreases possible dementia by 76%. Dancing for century has improved the physical and mental health of those who participated in dance. Dance classes are essential in the education system for students to reach their full potential . It has become imperative for students to become immersed in dance to improve not only their physical and mental health but almost to improve learning and comprehension in schools. Therefore a bigger push must be made in schools involving dance education.

Chemically dancing increases brain health and also increases mental and emotional health. Posture is is a main focus in any dance classes. Posture has been proven to increase confidence and self esteem. A student will find dancing a perfect place to find their self confidence while being in a safe environment where they express themselves. Therefore this will improve the students’ social skills, going into social situation already knowing their self worth. Dancing significantly improves emotional status and mental health. There is a physical, chemical change that occurs in the brain when one is dancing, according to the Harvard Medical School. Dancing is crucial to combat the emotional trauma and mental health issues that have risen with adolescent in today’s society. Students would be more equipped to handle those difficult years of adolescence with the social pressure and emotional damage, if dance classes were incorporated in the education system. Dancing is exactly what students in need in school to keep them happy and healthy, creating an atmosphere of learning and knowledge instead of a one of fear and
