They stretched and practiced small parts of the dance for about 5 minutes before they got together and began to practice the dance. They ran through the whole dance once while the instructor watched. Once they had finished running through the dance, the instructor broke them into groups and had them practice the most troubled part of their dance together. They practiced in their small groups and they would help each other by giving small corrections and feedback to make it look perfect. The instructor walked around and answered questions and helped the students individually who were having a harder time. After working in small groups, the instructor had each small group go to the front of the class, one at a time, to perform the section of the dance they had just worked on. The class watched then gave the small groups feedback about how they could make it even better. The feedback mostly consisted of small technical errors such as pointed feet and straight legs. The instructor then gathered everyone and talked about trying to make their movements seem more natural and seamless. He talked about moving with breath to help the dance flow. Lastly, the dancers worked on their focus in the dance. Focus is where the dancers are looking while they are moving. The focus is important to the audience because it shows the audience where to look and where to direct their attention. It can change the meaning of a dance. Together they worked on their focus and then ended with some cool-down
